I work for the Texas Army National Guard. I have lived in Buda since 2018 from Montana. As I moved I was blessed to get the opportunity to continue to coach youth football with the Jr Jaguars. I have coached youth football since 2010. I have 2 boys one who plays with the Jr Jaguars and the other for the Jags at Johnson High School. I love all aspects of the game, I believe that it teaches the players more than a game. I believe it teaches them valuable lessons that builds character and positive qualities that we want for the future of our country.

FUNDRAISER DIRECTOR:
I was born in Austin, Tx and have lived in Hays County for most of my life. I was blessed to have met my amazing husband when we were sophomores in high school, and we have been together ever since. We have 3 amazing children ages 10, 9 and 4. We are a very active family, and I am very much a Boy Mom so naturally my sons love for football is how we came to find the Jr Jaguars. Football has been a big part of our life for the last 7 years since my oldest started playing at 4 years old. This will be our 3rd season with the Jr Jaguars. My first year serving as a board member, my husband’s third year as a Jr Jaguars Coach and my oldest is about to play his third and final season as a Bandit before he moves on to play middle school football. My 9-year-old is an avid soccer player about to begin his fifth season of soccer and my youngest currently plays T-Ball but loves football as much as his brother, so he is most definitely a future Bandit! We are so blessed to have found an amazing organization in the Buda Jr Jaguars and look forward to being a part of it in the years to come!

Team Mom
I was born and raised in Dallas but have been in the Hill Country area for 9 years now. Since 2017 we’ve been here in Buda where I am a kinesiologist, a yoga instructor, a business owner, a wife, and a mother of three wild boys! It took some persuading to let them play football but since I found the Jr Jaguars organization, I couldn’t help but get involved. The first season my son played football I volunteered as the team mom while I was 7 months pregnant! Those next few months I saw our son grow to become an amazing leader and hard worker. As I was sending him off to his game, I was delivering our next Buda Jr Jaguars boy to play football in the upcoming years. It will be our third season now to be with the Jr Jaguars and I am thrilled that our whole family is involve. We couldn’t have been blessed with a better organization and family of parents to be raising our kids with.

 Celeste Gomez

 Information Officer /Registrar/Treasurer

My name is Celeste Gomez. I was born and raised in the Kyle/ Buda area.  I attended HAYS CISD schools from pre-k through high school, graduated from Hays High school in 2001.  I have been in the early childhood education field for over 25 years now and I currently work as a Childcare Director for Hays CISD. I love working with children it is my passion. I am honored to not only be doing what I love in the same community I grew up in but also in the same school system I attended.  I have been married to my amazing husband of 19 years and we have three wonderful children and  one on the way. Football has always been a huge part of our family dynamic. Our oldest son was very active in football junior high through high school. Boy did we love to be in the stands on Friday nights. He has since graduated so we are so happy that now our middle son absolutely loves football and now we get to be back in the stands cheering for our team.

We have been a part of this organization for 5 years now. We have loved every moment of seeing our son excel in this league. This league has not only shown him the love of the game but has also taught him dedication and sportsmanship. I absolutely love being a part of this organization. We are anxiously waiting for our third child to be old enough to join the cheer squad, she’s only 4. The amount of time, love and dedication these coaches and staff give to our youth and our community is simply amazing . I am very excited and honored to be part of an organization that serves our youth in such a positive way.

Nicole ContrerasDirector of Cheerleading
Hey there Coach Nicole here! I was born and raised in San Antonio and moved to the Austin area when I was 12. I have a background in dance. I was on the Bowie dance team in high school. I am now a very busy and involved mom of two. My son is nine and is currently playing with the junior jags. He’s loved every minute of it and continues to grow in his skills and love for the game . My extensive history with cheer started when my now 17year old daughter began to cheer when she was 5. I started as just a volunteer coach then eventually moved up to become the coordinator for her youth program. I’ve had the opportunity to take a team all the way to a championship and winning the legendary jackets that come with it! My daughter will also now be helping me coach our Lady Jags in her downtime.  She herself has won a Grand Championship with her All-Star gym team, and now national champions with Hays high school. I look forward to teaching our Lady jags to be self confident and strong individuals.  We will teach them all of the basics of cheer from jumps to chance in a fun, but structured way. The goal is to cheer on our players on the sidelines and hopefully be able to learn a routine that we can take to competitions. I am a cheer mom to the fullest and can’t wait to share my love for this growing sport.

 Director of Football

I was born & raised in Austin TX.  I played throughout my jr. high and high school years.  Moved to Buda area in 1999 with my lovely wife and 2 kids (at that time).  In 2010 my oldest played with the Capital City Bearcat and my oldest daughter cheered for them as well.  It was a travel from North Austin to Buda so, we decided to let my oldest son finish out with the Bearcats and finding an organization for my daughter to cheer for closer to home finding the Buda Bandits and joining their organization to be amazing.  Here I am still with them Now! I now coach the Buda Jaguars & Select Teams.  My goal is to teach these young athletes the basics and fundamentals of the game & get them to the Next Level!
